Meet Carol & Max: Our journey to travel advice and planning
The Origins
Our passion for exploration started in 2020. Even while working full-time in the UK, we spent every weekend finding the best destinations, hotels, and experiences across Europe. What started as a hotel review on YouTube quickly turned into an undeniable drive to share our finds with others.
The Big Leap
We left the corporate grind for 18 incredible months living out of our bags across Asia, Europe, and Brazil. Everyone thought we were crazy to leave our secure jobs to explore the world and create content, but we believed, and always will believe, in our mission to make travel better and more accessible.
This journey taught us more than any office ever could, but it also brought a moment of clarity: constantly moving is exhausting, and we found ourselves missing a place to call home. Yet, that didn’t change our passion. While navigating diverse cultures and endless miles, we discovered something vital about ourselves: we are obsessed with the logistics.
We didn't just love the destination; we loved the planning, the hacks, and the challenge of finding the perfect, stress-free route. That realisation turned our personal adventure into the core mission for Carma Adventures.

We have officially transitioned from full-time nomads back to being based in the UK, a move that allows us to focus entirely on helping you. From our new home base, we are still constantly traveling across Europe to scout new content, while simultaneously turning our years of global experience into the tools you need for your own trips.
