Meet Carol & Max: Our Journey to Becoming Your Travel Experts
Our passion for travel, hotels, and exploration started when we began dating back in 2020. Even while at university and then working full-time in the UK, we used every chance we had for weekend trips across Europe. Our first-ever YouTube video was a review of a 5-star hotel we stayed at for Max's birthday, and from that moment, the itch to create content and share our finds was undeniable.
Our Big Leap: Despite our shared passion, we were burnt out and knew the corporate grind wasn't for us. So, in July 2024, we quit our jobs with a rough plan for 6 months in Asia. That rough plan turned into 16 incredible, unplanned months living out of our bags!
The Realisation: About halfway through that adventure, we realised two things: we missed having a home base, but more importantly, we excelled at the logistics. We didn't just love travel; we were obsessed with the planning, the hacks, and finding the perfect, stress-free route.
That journey of trial-and-error became the foundation for Carma Adventures. This blog is our baby; it’s where we use our hard-earned, real-world experience to replace your research fatigue with the best possible, battle-tested advice.

We're currently based near London, UK, having realised the busy pace of the city itself just wasn't for us. We love having a quieter home base for editing, writing, planning, and dreaming up the next big trip.
