Looking for a Ksamil hotel with its own private beach access? You’re not alone. Ksamil’s world-famous turquoise shores get incredibly packed during the peak summer months. Staying at a hotel with dedicated private beach access (and sunbeds you don’t have to fight a stranger for at 7:00 AM) is the ultimate vacation upgrade.
A quick reality check from our own experience: When we travelled to Ksamil, we actually chose to base ourselves at EMAR Beachfront Hotel, a charming, budget-friendly boutique property located just a few steps away from one of Ksamil’s main beaches. It was fantastic (you can read about our full experience staying at EMAR Beachfront Hotel here!), but staying there meant we quickly realised how chaotic, competitive, and expensive the public shores can be!
Because we didn’t want you to fall into the same trap, we didn't just copy and paste a generic list from Booking.com. We spent hours diving deep into guest reviews, analysing maps, mapping out layouts, and cross-checking the fine print to find out which beachfront hotels are actually worth your hard-earned cash. In this guide, we’re sharing the best hotels in Ksamil with a private beach, alongside details on what makes each one worth it, who it’s perfect for, and how to book.

We’ve gathered top-rated recommendations for transport, accommodation, services, and tours below:
- Beachfront luxury: Hotel Panorama Ksamil (9.3/10)
- Resort vibes: ARAMERAS Resort (9.2/10)
- Private beach & half-board: King Hotel Ksamil (8.7/10)
What does "private beach" actually mean in Ksamil?
Because all coastlines in Albania are technically public property, a hotel with a "private beach" doesn’t mean you get a secluded, hidden cove all to yourself.
Instead, it means the property has a dedicated, cordoned-off section of the shore with guaranteed sunbeds and umbrellas reserved exclusively for its guests. You will still be right next to other beachgoers, and the public can walk along the water’s edge, but your personal space and lounge chair are fully locked in.
What to know before booking a beach hotel in Ksamil
Beyond the beach definition, there are three distinct quirks about Ksamil's hotel scene that the massive booking platforms completely skip over:
The sunbeds situation: Sunbeds and umbrellas on public beaches can cost anywhere from €20 to €50+ per day. Every hotel listed below includes your loungers in the room price, which saves you a massive chunk of pocket money and a 7:00 AM wake-up call to fight for a spot.
The noise factor: Ksamil is highly energetic. Many of these beachfront properties sit right next to vibrant, open-air beach clubs playing loud music. If you are a light sleeper, you will definitely want to pack high-quality earplugs, request a room facing away from the water when booking, or simply visit during the quieter shoulder season. (Unsure exactly when to head out? You can read our full guide on Best Time to Visit Ksamil (And When You Might Regret It! to help you decide.)
Book early: Summer fills up fast! Because guaranteed sunbeds are the most sought-after asset on the Albanian Riviera, you should try to book 2-3 months ahead if you want your top pick.
The top 4 best private beach hotels in Ksamil
1. ARAMERAS Resort (top overall pick)
If you want a true luxury resort experience tucked away from the frantic energy of the central town strip, Arameras Resort is the absolute best choice in Ksamil. They call themselves an "art hotel integrated with nature," which basically means upscale, modern private bungalows and a magnificent infinity pool that looks like it belongs on a luxury travel magazine cover.
Perfect for: Anyone who wants a high-end, peaceful escape and wants to feel like a VIP away from the masses with premium beach amenities.
The perks: Stunning standalone bungalows, private VIP beach loungers, a beach bar that mixes a mean cocktail, full buffet breakfast included, and quiet surroundings.
Nearby attractions: You are just a 5-minute drive from Pema e Thatë Beach (famous for those viral overwater net hammocks looking out to Corfu) and in a prime starting spot to head north up the scenic coast to the beautiful Mirror Beach (Plazhi i Pasqyrave).
Our honest take: As a 4-star property, its biggest selling point is having one of the absolute best, crowd-free beaches in the area. Because non-guests are strictly turned away, it stays incredibly peaceful and uncrowded. The catch? It sits a bit outside the central town chaos. That’s a massive plus for peace and quiet, but it can complicate things depending on how you plan to get around. It’s a literal paradise, but you will definitely want a rental car or a healthy taxi budget if you want to venture into town to explore or eat out. Although golf carts are available to help you navigate the massive resort grounds.
“Staff were great, all the food was delicious and the lodge was kept very clean. Hotel facilities were fantastic and the location of the resort makes you feel like you are on your own private island. Will definitely be back !!!”
For travellers who want premium comfort but still want to be within easy walking distance of Ksamil's vibrant centre, King Hotel is a spectacular pick. It balances gorgeous sea views with an unbeatable, highly walkable location. Because Max and I stayed right next door to this property, we can personally vouch that you'll be right in the heart of all the action.
Perfect for: Couples or families who want maximum convenience, direct beachside service without feeling isolated.
The perks: Beachside drink service right to your included sunbeds, modern rooms, a highly rated restaurant, and balconies facing the beautiful Ionian Sea. Best of all, your room rate already includes half board, meaning you have both breakfast and dinner completely sorted before you even arrive!
Our honest opinion: Because of its central location, it lacks secluded privacy, and the surrounding area gets very busy. However, the immediate walkability to town is excellent if you want to be within stumbling distance of everything.
Nearby attractions: You are directly in front of the uninhabited Ksamil Islands (making it incredibly easy to rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard right from your beach chair to explore them) and a short walk from central favourites like Bora Bora Beach.
“The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. Our room even had a sea view with a balcony. The staff is also very nice and accommodating. Denis, in particular, took great care of us and gave excellent culinary recommendations. The food was definitely one of the highlights of the hotel for us. There was a large selection of different fish dishes and fresh mussels, which are unique to the region. If you love seafood, you should definitely try the mussels, it’s worth it! Even though we visited during the off-season when the beach clubs weren’t open yet, the hotel still provided a great atmosphere with its bar and DJ next door. Whether you want to spend a cozy evening on the balcony or dance with a delicious cocktail in hand, there is something for everyone.”

Hotel Lula is a fantastic, highly-rated hidden gem situated just a literal minute's walk from the shore. Managed directly by a local family, it blends the perks of premium beach access with a wonderfully warm, local atmosphere.
Perfect for: Couples and solo travellers looking for an authentic, exceptionally clean stay with top-tier hospitality.
The perks: Dedicated private beach area, rooms with private balconies, free secure parking, and a massive fresh breakfast that will keep you full past lunchtime.
Nearby attractions: You are within a 5-minute stroll of both Lori Beach and Paradise Beach, and surrounded by some of the best traditional seafood taverns and lively evening bars in central Ksamil.
Our honest opinion: This is the best pick if you care about aesthetics, food quality, and being within walking distance of nightlife. One quick tip: they may request cash payments (Euros or Albanian Lek), so just confirm payment methods with the host before your arrival.
“The most hospitable hotel, with excellent service and facilities. The owner personally handles the accommodation and receives guests, is very welcoming and truly ready to help in any situation. All the staff are friendly, always helpful and generally great to talk to. The hotel also offers sun loungers just a 1-minute walk away, free on-site parking, excellent breakfasts, and daily cleaning. I definitely recommend them and I want to visit them again 👍 100/10”
4. Hotel Castle
If you prefer architectural character over matching modern concrete squares, Hotel Castle is a memorable, highly unique pick. Built with traditional, castle-inspired stone layouts, it sits right on the shoreline looking directly out at the famous Ksamil Islands.
Perfect for: Travellers who appreciate architectural charm, huge room layouts, and a relaxed beach atmosphere.
The perks: Unique stone castle aesthetics, dedicated beach loungers, massive rooms (many with deep, standalone bathtubs), and an on-site traditional restaurant.
Nearby Attractions: You are just a short walk from the famous Hand of Ksamil, that viral open-hand sculpture where everyone queues up to grab their classic Instagram photo. You are also just a short stroll from Bar Restorant Luna, our absolute favourite restaurant in Ksamil! Plus, you are the closest hotel on this list to the road leading straight to the ancient UNESCO ruins of Butrint National Park (only a 5 to 10-minute drive south).
Our honest opinion: It offers great sunset views and a much more relaxed atmosphere than the spots in the dead centre of town, but the rooms are a bit more rustic. It’s also perfectly situated if you want to rent a kayak or small motorboat to play captain and visit the islands yourself.
“Wow! We loved it here, our room was amazing in every way.
Sea view and a jacuzzi bath in the room to watch the sunset.
If ever in that part of the world again we will be back.”
The verdict: Which hotel should you book?
For unmatched luxury, private bungalows, and total secluded peace, book ARAMERAS Resort.
For a seamless beachfront experience right in the heart of the action, lock in King Hotel Ksamil.
For gorgeous boutique design and warm, family-run hospitality, pick Hotel Lula Ksamil.
For rustic stone-castle charm and direct views of the islands, opt for Hotel Castle.
