We’ve all been there: tired after a long flight, trying to figure out the best way to get to our final destination. We made a choice on our first trip that, looking back, we truly regret. So, let us save you from the same mistake.
Our Top Recommendation: What We Wish We Had Done
Trust us on this one. If we could do our first trip to Kawasan Falls all over again, we would have booked a private transfer from the airport.
Why? Because on our first visit, we decided to rent a motorbike right from Cebu City. What we thought would be a fun, adventurous ride turned into a super long, tiring, painful, and a little dangerous journey. The drive is long, and navigating city traffic and then the winding coastal roads was exhausting after a flight. We arrived drained instead of energised.
A private transfer means a driver is waiting for you with your name on a sign. You walk out of the terminal, get in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, and are driven directly to your destination. No haggling with taxi drivers, no painful journey on a bike, just a smooth ride so you can relax and get ready for your adventure. It’s a premium service that is worth every penny.

Option 1: The Private Transfer (Our Top Choice)
This is the most seamless and convenient option. You book online in advance, provide your flight details, and a professional driver will be there to greet you. The van is for your group only, and you can travel directly to Kawasan Falls or your hotel nearby.

We have to be honest with you. We rented a motorbike from an amazing place in Cebu City (Chad Motorcycle Rental), and the people were fantastic. But the journey from the airport all the way to Badian was a mistake.
Our honest review:
Long and Tiring: The drive is over 3 hours long, and it's exhausting on a bike, especially after a flight.
Dangerous: Navigating city traffic and the long, winding roads can be tricky and a little risky if you’re not an experienced rider.
The Better Way: Our recommendation is to take a private transfer to your hotel in Badian first. Then, you can rent a motorbike locally to explore the waterfalls and surrounding area. That’s what we would do next time.

Option 3: Taxis & Ride-Sharing Services
You can find taxis or use an app like Grab at the airport, but we don’t recommend this as the “best way” for a long journey. The cost can be unpredictable, and you may find drivers are unwilling to take you on such a long trip.
Why we don't recommend this as the best way:
Hassle: You might have to negotiate a price or deal with drivers who refuse the trip.
Cost: The final fare can often be much higher than a pre-booked private transfer.
Discomfort: You're not guaranteed a comfortable, spacious vehicle for the long drive.
