Expert handling of your Electronic Travel Authorisation.

Navigating new border rules shouldn’t stand between you and your trip. As of 2026, the UK has expanded its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme. If you’re nationality is from a country that doesn't usually require a visa, such as the USA, Canada, Australia, or anywhere in Europe, you now need this digital permit to enter the UK. This applies to all short trips, holidays, visiting family, and even if you’re just passing through border control to catch a connecting flight.

For one flat fee, we take the guesswork and risk out of the digital application. We ensure your data is formatted correctly, your photos meet the strict government standards, and your application is submitted promptly, saving you the stress of potential delays or denials due to simple mistakes.

Unsure if you need one? Check if you need an ETA or visa to come to the UK.

What you’ll get

  • Full application submission: We complete the official UK government filing on your behalf.

  • Government fee included: Your £20 ETA fee is covered in the total price.

  • Photo & document check: We verify your digital photo and passport scan meet UKVI requirements.

  • Email confirmation: Direct delivery of your 16-digit ETA reference number.

  • Peace of mind: Expert oversight to avoid common errors like incorrect passport data or security question mid-steps.

  • Status updates: We monitor the decision (usually 1–3 days) and notify you the second it’s approved.

Please note: This service is non-refundable, even if your application is denied.

A note from Carol & Max

Why do we do this?

We spent nearly two years moving countries every single month. That intense and immersive experience turned complex logistics into our second language, but we know it isn't everyone’s idea of fun.

We don't claim to have the answer to everything, but we genuinely love the deep-dive research it takes to find a smarter route, for example, or a hotel in the city centre that doesn’t cost 3x your flights. We started Carma Adventures because we believe a great trip shouldn't be held back by doubt or unanswered questions.

Our goal is simple: to give you back your time and eliminate the guesswork.

Whether you’re short on hours, overwhelmed by options, or simply want the peace of mind that comes with an experienced second opinion, we’re here to help.

We pack the intuition and discipline of full-time travellers into your perfect getaway, ensuring you don’t waste a single moment of your trip on a plan that is anything less than epic.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • While many ETAs are approved within minutes, the UK Home Office officially recommends applying at least 3 working days before you travel. However, as 2026 marks the start of strict "No permission, no travel" enforcement, we strongly advise applying at least 7 days before your trip to account for any manual reviews or system delays.

  • No. As of February 25, 2026, airlines and ferry operators are legally required to check for an approved ETA before you board. If your status is still "Pending" or you do not have an approval, you will be refused boarding at the airport.

  • Most decisions arrive within 24 hours, but the government advises allowing up to 3 working days.

  • No. It’s a digital travel permit for "visa-exempt" nationals. If you usually need a full visa to visit the UK, this process does not apply to you.

  • No. Your ETA is electronically linked to your passport number. When you scan your passport at the border, the system automatically recognises your valid ETA.

Note: Some airlines may ask to see your confirmation email before you board, so we provide you with a digital folder containing all your application documents. We recommend downloading this to your phone so you have it ready for peace of mind.

  • Because we begin our expert review and processing immediately upon receipt of your details, this service is non-refundable. This applies even if the UK government ultimately denies your ETA (for example, due to undisclosed criminal history or prior immigration issues).
